Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Leith Festival.
At over a century old, Leith Festival is one of Edinburgh’s oldest celebrations, welcoming residents and visitors alike to celebrate Leith in all it’s diversity. Volunteers play a huge role in ensuring the success of the festival every year and the contribution of our volunteers is very important to us. We want to make sure that volunteering with Leith Festival is a positive and rewarding experience.
Opportunities:
Board Members
From gathering sponsorship, recruiting volunteers, managing the website, to applying for licences or booking performers, to litter picking on Gala day, the board works with the Festival Coordinator to make sure everything is in place that needs to be. Becoming a board member is a great way to give back to the Leith Community.

Volunteering
Our volunteers help us in myriad ways, from distributing programmes in the lead up to gala day, to helping out on the day in various ways, to photographing our events.
Some of the regular roles we need people to help with are:
Event Stewards to help with the Gala day, Pageant and Tattoo
Event Photographers
On occasion we may seek volunteers to help with a specific aspect of our work such as finance and fundraising, or a communications volunteer to help produce newsletters
