This Black History Walking Tour of Leith will span a few centuries, from the African girls who were rescued by a Scottish privateer and served in the Royal Court, Caribbean links to trading and banking, adventurous Black sailors, famous boxers and murderous washerwomen in the 19th and 20th centuries. Speeches by abolitionist Frederick Douglass, the French Black Prisoners of War imprisoned on boats in the harbour, and so much more!
