The 2nd in our series of In Conversation With… events, sees Leith Festival join forces with Edinburgh Community Food & Change works to discuss rising household costs, food waste and managing fuel costs. There will be some fun activities too and lots of time afterwards to sign up for further info sessions or other support services provided by ECF & Changeworks.

Edinburgh Community Food is all about helping people enjoy delicious, fresh, healthy food and making sure everyone in our city has access to an affordable, healthy diet. They tackle health inequalities in low-income communities in Edinburgh through their Food and Health Development and Promotion work, including cooking and nutrition courses, health information presentations and delivery of Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland accredited courses. As a leader in Edinburgh’s community food and health sector they are working to promote health equality by helping to provide healthy food, offering food education and supporting community health initiatives.

Changeworks is Scotland’s leading environmental charity delivering solutions for low carbon living. A trusted expert with over 30 years’ experience, they provide information and enable householders, professionals and volunteers to live in affordably warm homes (Energy and Fuel Poverty), they work with local authorities, organisations, schools and communities, to minimise business and domestic waste (Household Waste) and they also help public, private and voluntary sector organisations to reduce their impact on the environment (Carbon Reduction).
