Layers of Leith explores the changing face of Leith through the waves of regeneration and gentrification that it has witnessed. The exhibition aims to celebrate, inform and empower through its multimedia exhibits. Taking you on a journey of Leith’s rich historical past to the present day where the current wave of gentrification has been met with resistance and solidarity from the people who live here. The Layers of Leith exhibition is a culmination of the work and research of a local community research group that is part of Active Inquiry’s Displaced project.
