Scotland’s most misleadingly named poetry night returns to Leith Festival with a diverse array of guests. Vicki Feaver, one of the UK’s most respected poets, will be joined by Carly Brown, who won Scotland’s National Poetry Slam and came fourth at the World Series of Slam Poetry in Paris; Andrew Blair, the one-time ‘Godfather of Edinburgh Poetry’; and Rex Sweeny, a distressing local ne’er-do-well. There’ll be music from the accomplished Leith-based singer-songwriter Calum Carlyle, with two or three other musicians chipping in, and, we trust, the usual warm and appreciative audience – so why not join us?
